I turned 50 this year and didn't like it. my blood pressure was high and I was overweight. i wont sugar coat it...I was pretty heavy...like by 40 pounds and my back was very sore from years of riding horses. Last year when i first joined the gym. I started taking some of the clasees...yoga. water aerobic, spinning. The staff is exceptional. Six months ago when I tried to start up again. Bonnie spent so much time with me. She took me in her office and figured a way to get me back into the gym I also remember the time Joanne saw me struggling in Saturday Morning Boot Camp I was confused with the new format and she noticed.  Every time she saw me hesitate she helped me along. Her confidence in my abilities made me want to keep coming back.

The real changes started when i was introduced to my Personal Trainer Allen 3 months ago. I didnt fully understand the implications of my choice to train with him at the time but I sure do now.He offered me the structured program I needed and worked around my chaotic schedule. I have been able to accomplish so much because he knows when to push me harder and when to help me out a little. He makes my training fun and I want to come back. He makes me laugh when I get to serious. He helped me to undertand how much potential i have and i am so much stronger now.

I keep coming back because I love the gym. I like the feeling of accomplishment when I finally do something that scared me. I like not having to wear spurs when I ride because my legs are so much stronger. I liked the look on my doctor's face when he saw my blood pressure was normal without medication and I dropped over 30 pounds in 3 months. I like the compliments i get when my friends see I've gone from a tight size 16 to a really nice fitting pair of size 6 Levi's.

"As happens to so many of us one day we discover that we aren't as physically fit as we used to be or would like to be or need to be. I felt a responsibility to be both mentally and physically strong for my husband, children and grandchildren. So, many years ago. I joined the Penfield Racquet Club. Where I have continued to experience a variety of different classes which i have found to have given me an overall physical strength and sound mental attitude. (Well. that could be debated)

I started with small group training for the comfort and the security of just a few people with whom i could share sound strength training practices and friendships instructed by Trainers that were knowledgeable, friendy and interested.

I then decided I needed to add another dimension to my experience and added Water classes which I found so wonderful that I was doing them three times per week. After a couple years of this I knew that I needed to go to the "next level" for that challenge.

Basically I needed more muscle and knew I was capable of doing it. Well as luck would have it. Penfield Racquet Club, in its infinite wisdom and perfect timing hired a Trainer named Allen Chapman. I was introduced to Allen and decided to give him a try. Needless to say. I am now reaping the benefits of a Professional Trainer. With many years of experience, highly knowledgeable and versatile concerned about your safety, truly interested and there for you. What more could one want? Now all i have to do is my part"
